The United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai have experienced a long period of stability and security, extending beyond the country’s formation since 1971. This stability is primarily due to the UAE’s strong leadership in terms of social, political, and military/police matters, as well as internal mechanisms that foster healthy urban growth and development. Further, the UAE and its leaders stand on a platform of cooperation with other GCC countries and are active participants in the global security community.
